The Harborside Trio | Broadway Tunes | A Tribute to Stephen Sondheim

The Harborside Trio was formed in 2019 when Bill Merrill and Carl Wrubel relocated to Southwest Harbor.  Cherie Magnello had moved to Maine from Boston many years before and currently lives in Bernard.  It was her recommendation of the Quiet Side as a place to visit that led them to move there.  Since its inception the trio has performed in Surry, Southwest Harbor, Somesville and Bar Harbor.

Cherie Magnello performs a wide range of musical and theatrical repertoire and has worked with composer William Hawley of Bass Harbor. She appears frequently with the Barn Arts in Tremont, New Surry Theatre and Meetinghouse Theatre Lab.

Carl Wrubel has sung with many organizations in the Boston area including Boston Lyric Opera and the Tanglewood Festival Chorus. Some of his solo performances have been in Mozart’s Requiem, Handel’s Messiah, and Faure’s Requiem.

William Merrill is a well known vocal coach and collaborative pianist. He performed for many years in the New England area, throughout the US with Columbia Concerts, as well as in Europe and China.
