Interplay / Jazz Concert

Interplay is a jazz quintet: saxophone and flute, trombone, guitar, bass and drums We play standards like “Autumn Leaves,” “Alone Together” and “Bye,Bye Blackbird.” Straight ahead jazz tunes like “Well You Needn’t, “Doxy” and “Night In Tunisia.”  The music of Latin composers like Antonio Carlos Jobim, Ivan Lins and Paquito D”Rivera.  And, Blues tunes like “Blues for Alice.” Our music is happy, it’s sad, it’s energy, it’s fun. Whatever your mood, we’ve got Jazz for you.

Interplay has played Jazz in the Downeast Maine area for over 15 years. With Silas Yates-trombone, multi-woodwind player Steve Orlofsky, guitarist James Williams, Dave Halvorson on bass and Bobby Duron on drums, the group plays the gamut from quiet Bossa novas to sizzling, in-your-face jazz.
